Merdeka Fever

Selamat Hari Merdeka!

Geez...it sure doesn't feel like Independence Day! Yesterday, as the clock struck 12am I was already in bed sleeping. I remember vividly waking up bout 12.30am, cursing the fireworks in the sky as loud patriotic music filled the room (I stay somewhere near the center of town). So much for patriotism.

On another note, merdeka = holiday. Hallelujah! I decided to spend the day home relaxing and doing absolutely nothing. Aaahhh...

However, I ended up being forced to follow my mum to buy a pair of shoes (for her). In her own words, "I need someone to help me choose a nice pair". Thus my afternoon was that of shopping instead of relaxing. The crowd was terrible! Oh my gawd, I never hated kids as I did today. While you're busy trying to make your way around the mall, you would have all these lil' monkeys running about and screaming on top of their lungs. Gawd, how I would have loved to kicked them and watch them fly. Seriously, if you can't control your kids, please for everyones sake LEAVE THEM AT HOME. *Grrr*

After getting a pair of shoes and a set of perfumes, we headed home. I do admit I was grumpy and stressed out from the crowd and so was B, who was sulking and fuming in the corner.

My mum?

Happy as a toad on weed as she got what she wanted.
